Senior Portfolio StrategistAs a portfolio manager for over four decades, Jonathan brings a broad, well-rounded and analytical perspective to wealth management informed largely by macroeconomic principles. He thoughtfully navigates current events to provide meaningful context for clients as it relates to their financial picture and their goals of living enriched lives. Jonathan’s primary role at Oxler is customized portfolio management. His career began in 1975 at White Weld and Co., in New York City. In the 11 years following, he served as senior vice president at EF Hutton, managing the investment portfolios of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. At EF Hutton, he co-founded the Executive and Corporate Services Department catering to founders, officers and directors of publicly traded companies. For the following 32 years, Jonathan served as managing director and senior portfolio manager at Oppenheimer and Co. Inc. and its predecessor company. Born in Israel, Jonathan spent his middle and high school years in London, England. He served 3 years (1965-1968) in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and then returned to London to earn a BSc in economics from Queen Mary College, London University. He has held a Series 7 and currently holds series 63 and 65 security licenses. Jonathan is passionate about history, current events, science and art. Over the years, he has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia, and speaks four languages. A long-standing member of the Amateur Astronomers Association, New York City, he is also a member of the American Fellows at the Whitney Museum and founding member of the Frost Museum of Science, Miami. Forever curious about history and his family tree, Jonathan maintains meaningful connections with generations of family living across the world. He has two daughters and four grandchildren. He lives with his partner, Corinne, in New York City. Jonathan works side by side with his son-in-law, Masa, and daughter Jessica.
